Merit Points are the basis of the VIP Scheme. You earn points whenever you play poker for real money, both on the cash tables and in tournaments. The points are credited to your account and can be used to access all the current benefits.
To see how many Merit Points you have, go to the My Account section of the poker lobby. During each cash table session, the amount of points you have earned is displayed in the top left hand corner of the table.
On cash tables, you earn Merit Points according to the amount of rake which is attributed to you. This amount, your attributed rake, is determined by the proportion of the total pot you contribute. In tournaments, you earn points according to the amount you pay in fees.
You earn Merit Points at the same rate on the cash tables and in tournaments: 15 for every $1 of attributed rake or tournament fees.
On cash tables, a maximum of $2.50 in rake can be attributed to any individual player in any single hand so you can earn up to 37.5 points in each hand. There’s no limit to the number of points you can earn as a result of each tournament.
